The judge was Paul Harding from the UK and he was judging in Barbados for the first time. \u00a0He is approved by The Kennel Club, UK to award Challenge Certificates to the following breeds which we have in the show ring here: Akita, French Bulldog, Boxer, Dobermann, Rottweiler and the Bullmastiff. He is \u00a0also approved to judge the Utility and Working groups.<\/p>\n

Paul Harding’s Best in Show was a Shiba Inu from the Utility Group and the Reserve Best in Show was a locally bred Rottweiler, with his best puppy in show going to a locally bred Rottweiler, from the Working Group.<\/p>\n

Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show with judge Paul Harding<\/p><\/div>\n

The Shiba Inu, owned by Andy Taylor and bred by June Foreman of the UK, I believe would qualify for The B’dos. Kennel Club’s Dog of the Year, 2012, award and the Rottweiler owned by Adrian Maynard and bred by Lisa Bryan would be the winner of the Locally Bred Dog of the Year award.<\/p>\n

A slightly better entry of dogs than the October show by just a few entries but the judge still had fewer than 60 dogs to go over. And, I believe the spectator attendance was also slightly better than the October show.<\/p>\n
