Just coming from a dog show where people have imported all kinds of different breeds, and they and the locally bred dogs shown are obviously lovingly cared for, trained and prepared for the show, I was appalled this morning to see the pix. below in my favourite Barbados blog:
Their heading on March 27th, was “Barbados Tourist upset over Hanged Dog Cruelty…..”
The pix. was softened by Photoshop but imagine the horror of hikers enjoying the beauty of Barbados and a lot of these hikers were tourists, to come across a dead dog hanging by his neck on a tree.
A terrible sight
It is difficult to imagine the agony and suffering this poor animal would have endured.
“Man’s best friend”, I would hate to imagine how the person who did this to a poor animal, would treat other humans.
And the hiker who took the pix. posted them to the BBC World news, The British Press, Fox News Network, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show and the Canadian Press.
I would hope that if there is someone who witnessed this extreme act of cruelty and was not a part of it, they would report it. It could be reported to
