A great combination of pedigrees and a really nice litter of Bouvier Des Flandres puppies, from a Belgium sire and an UK imported dam.
Ch Chepam Valentina at Calliope C.D. (Isabelle) was 4 years old on January 1, 2018. This is the first time she has had puppies and she is a very good mother.
My oldest Bouvier here, Ch. Calliope Rita C.D., is now over 12 years old.
At the end of April, Isabelle’s and Link’s puppies were born and and she has been busy with her maternal duties and five puppies.
The sire is the Belgium Bouvier, Ch. Link van her Gieldre Hof. Isabelle is an UK import who arrived here at 12 weeks old.
There have not been many successful cases of artificial insemination with dogs and frozen semen in Barbados, but everything went very well for us.
It did take careful planning to ensure that all regulations and procedures were followed and the progesterone timing was correct for artificial insemination.
The puppies will be registered with The Barbados Kennel Club and be inoculated against parovirus.
